The Coin Keeper 
Eddie Torres was a broke junkman in Reno when he found an old silver dollar in a rusted tin under his trailer. That night, a figure appeared—thin, eyeless, with fingers like bent wire. It whispered, “Spend me, and I’ll bring more.” Eddie tossed the coin at a gas station slot machine and hit a $10,000 jackpot. Next day, three more silver dollars sat on his pillow. He spent them too—cars, hookers, a house. Each time, more coins appeared, but the figure got closer, its voice raspier. Now Eddie’s got millions, but his job to keep it he must pass on an item that will do the same for others. This is that piece.
